What is best thing I can do for dry mature skin? I have always had oily skin all my teen and adult years, but now that I'm nearing my late forties, my skin suddenly become dry and flaky around my upper cheeks and nose area. I have tried almost every dry skin product out there, and they seemed to dry me out even more. Do you know of a good drugstore facial cleanser and moisturizer for dry skin type? Thanks! – Debbie, Iowa.
Hi Debbie,

You may notice fine lines and wrinkles around your forehead, eyes and mouth area; dry skin patches may also be visible because your body produces less sebum or natural skin oil (outermost protective layer of the epidermis), making you more vulnerable to environmental stresses such as pollution, sun and damaging free radicals.

at the same time, helps prevent moisture loss through evaporation and keep the right
balance of moisture in your skin. Cera Ve products are fragrance-

I am also fond of nature oils for skin care and sometimes apply virgin coconut oil, avocado oil or almond oil on my face as a part of my overall skin care routine to rejuvenate dry skin.
Almond oil is especially good for mature aging skin as it boasts a plethora of excellent skin enhancing properties that will help revive lackluster skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin pigmentation. In addition, almond oil is a rich source of Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant which is widely known to nourish, soften and provide immediate moisture to dry skin.
Almond oil is not overly greasy and does not clog pores. The best part, almond oil is reasonably priced.
You only need a few drops of almond oil to treat dry facial skin. Simply apply and gently massage into your clean face until absorbed.
That said, you will also benefit from the natural goodness of these oils – wheatgerm oil, apricot kernel oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, or kukui nut oil. They all moisturize dry mature skin and keep it smooth and supple. However, make sure you do a small skin patch test to rule out any possible allergies before using any essential oil.
