I made a very serious mistake when trying to lose weight a few years ago. I skipped breakfast. Like many dieters, I thought by not eating breakfast, I was saving calories and less calories means faster weight loss. Oh boy, I was SO wrong!
It may sound counter-
People who consumed a large portion of their daily calories early in the morning were able to keep their appetite in check and thus less likely to impulse eat ot snack in between meals.
Scientists also believe that this dietary regime – eating breakfast – could help
long term dieters keep off the weight they have lost. Therefore, the key to successful
weight loss is start your day with a healthy breakfast that has the right balance
of carbohydrates, protein, and fiber. Avoid unhealthy, highly processed breakfast
foods that are crammed with sugars, fats and calories such as donuts, crossiants,
and chocolate cookies.
Preparing a healthy breakfast is not all that diffcult, however, it does take some planning. If time is of constrain, smoothies are ideal breakfast choices as they are healthy and quick to whip up.
You can also try making a batch of low fat muffins or breakfast bars over the weekend
and enjoy them as quick “grab-

Sliced banana in yogurt.
Oatmeal with your favorite fruits a well as nuts such as blueberries and pecans, or strawberries and walnuts.
Wholegrain toast with cheese.
Eggs, in any style.
Turkey and cheese tortillas.
Granola mix or dried fruits.
Bran or whole-
Swiss muesli.
Multigrain cereal with bananas and milk.
Scrambled tofu.
Brown rice or barley with raisins, a sprinkling of cinnamon and a bit of milk.
