Make these delicious healthy breakfast smoothie recipes for a great start to a wonderful day!
Coffee Banana Breakfast Smoothie
1½ cups brewed coffee, cold or cooled
1½ cups low fat plain yogurt
2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
3 to 4 ice cubes
2 tablespoons honey
Put all ingredients in a blender container. Cover and blend on high speed for 1 minute, or until smooth. Serve.
Banana Orange Strawberry Breakfast Smoothie
½ cup orange juice
½ banana, frozen and sliced
6 strawberries, frozen
½ cup water
1 tablespoon skim milk powder
Place all ingredients in a blender container. Cover and blend on high speed for 1 minute, or until smooth. Serve.
Peanut Butter Breakfast Smoothie
1 banana, frozen and sliced
1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
1 cup low fat milk
½ cup frozen low fat vanilla yogurt
Put all ingredients in a blender container. Cover and blend on high speed for 1 minute, or until creamy. Serve.
Spicy Vegetables Breakfast Smoothie
2 cups tomato juice
½ cup chopped red bell peppercorn
½ cup cucumber, peeled and chopped
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
⅛ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
¼ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Put all ingredients in a blender container. Cover and blend on high speed for 1 minute, or until smooth. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Mixed Berries Breakfast Smoothie
1¼ cups orange juice
1 banana
1¼ cups frozen berries such as blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and/or blueberries)
½ cup low fat plain yogurt
Put all ingredients in a blender container. Cover and blend on high speed for 1 minute, or until creamy. Serve.
Coffee Cinnamon Breakfast Smoothie
1 banana
1½ cups low fat milk
2 teaspoons instant coffee granules or powder
1 cup low fat plain yogurt
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
Place all ingredients in a blender container. Cover and blend on high speed for 1 minute, or until creamy. Serve.
Low Carb Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie
2½ cups strawberries
1 cup low fat plain yogurt
½ teaspoon Splenda
¼ cup non fat milk powder
4 tablespoons oats
2 tablespoons sugar-
½ cup ice cream
Place all ingredients in a blender container. Cover and blend on high speed for 1 minute, or until creamy. Serve.
