3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup butter
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1¼ cups rolled oats
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
How to make chocolate oatmeal cookies:
1. Preheat your oven to 350˚F or 175˚C.
2. Grease cookie sheets and side aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl, place flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt and ground cinnamon. Stir everything together and set aside for later use in the recipe.
4. Now, take out another large bowl, place butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Cream these 3 ingredients together. Next, beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Then, stir in your dry ingredients with a wooden spoon.
5. Mix in rolled oats and chocolate chips. Using a tablespoon, drop cookie mixture by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Remember to leave about 2 inches between cookies.
