In our family, Sangria is a huge hit at summer gatherings. It's a Spanish-
There're many different variations of Sangria – you can make it as strong or as weak as you like, some use white wine and they called it Sangria Blanca, some add nectarines and peaches – in short, play around with the recipe but the downside is, it needs time to sit so be sure to plan ahead. Here's our favorite Sangria recipe:
(serves 6)
1 bottle (750ml) Burgundy or other dry red wine, chilled
2 cans (12 oz) lemon-
juice of 3 oranges
juice of 2 lemons
¼ cup curacao or other orange-
¼ cup brandy
orange and lemon cartwheels
Ice
How to make:
Combine red wine, soda, orange and lemon juices in a large pitcher. Leave in the fridge, preferably overnight to let flavors to really infuse.
When ready to serve, add ice, orange and lemon cartwheels.
