When the weather gets colder and the days are shorter, there's nothing more comforting than a steaming bowl of macaroni to brighten the bleakest winter.
Today, I'm sharing my family's all-
In fact, you can feed the whole family for $10 or less. And, if you'll any beefaroni left over for the next day, it's still as delicious when heated up and served on hot buttered toast. It tastes even better the second day...mmm... sensational!
(serves 4)
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) box uncooked elbow macaroni
1 pound ground beef
2 large onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
10 tablespoons white wine
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
dash of rosemary spice
1 tablespoon paprika
salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups beef stock
2 tablespoons butter
3 tomatoes, chopped
Cook the macaroni according to package directions. Drain well
Place butter in a skillet, add garlic and saute. Stir in ground beef and seasonings.
Add beef stock and chopped tomatoes. Cook for 10 minutes and stir in macaroni. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes, to let flavors to combine.
Stir in white wine and grated cheddar; mix well. Serve hot. Enjoy!
