Homemade All-Natural Facial Mask Recipes

By Tiffany Moore

Instead of spending money on store bought facial masks that do not work, why not look for safe and all-natural ingredients in the kitchen to make your own face masks?

Your skin will feel rejuvenated, invigorated and naturally radiant instantly. Regular using of facial masks helps hydrate your skin and at the same time clean pores. Facial masks also helps cleansers to penetrate to give you a deeper clean.

Before you begin a facial, always start with a clean or well scrubbed face in order to get the maximum benefits, and whenever you rinse your face with warm water, always splash with cold water to close pores.

Home Made Face Masks Recipes

Lemon Egg Facial Mask

Juice of half a lemon, 1 egg white

Beat egg white, mix with lemon juice. Apply to face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Tomato Oatmeal Facial Mask

1 soft tomato, 1 teaspoon instant oatmeal, 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Blend ingredients, apply to face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Papaya and Aloe Facial Mask

¼ ripe papaya, 1½ teaspoons Aloe Vera gel

Mash papaya to pulp, add Aloe Vera gel. Rub on face leave for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

Oatmeal and Honey Facial Mask

⅓ cup quick cooking oatmeal, ¼ cup honey, ½ cup water

Mix water and oatmeal together, and cook. Then, set the oatmeal aside to cool and thicken. Mix in honey. Once the mask is well mixed and cool, apply a thin even layer to the skin avoiding the eye area as this can cause irritation.

Milk of Magnesia Facial Mask

This is a great facial mask to use on oily skin. Rub some milk of magnesia on your skin, let it dry, then wash it off with warm water.

Honey Facial Mask

Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores. Smear on two tablespoon of warm honey, being careful not to make it too hot for your skin, and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, then use cold water to close the pores. Use once a week.

Salt Facial Mask

Salt is great for sucking out the oil from pimples. Whenever my teenage son got an unexpected pimple, I rubbed some salt on it and in 10 minutes, the pimple shrinks a little. Wash your face with warm water, and dry slightly. Rub some salt lightly on your face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, avoiding opening the eyes.

Avocado Facial Mask

Avocado has always been a favorite choice among people with dry skin. Just mash up an avocado, then apply to a cleansed face. Leave on for about 15 minutes and rinse off.

Papaya and Honey Facial

1 tablespoon fuller's earth,1 tablespoon honey, ¼ ripe papaya

Cut the papaya in half and scoop out the seeds. Scoop out the papaya fruit and mash it well to eliminate lumps in the mask. Mix in honey and fuller's earth and put on face for 20 minutes then rinse off. You will feel a tingling sensation as the enzymes in the papaya starts to work immediately.

Carrot and Honey Facial Mask

2 or 3 large carrots, 4½ tablespoons honey

Cook carrots, then mash. Mix in honey. Apply gently to the skin and wait ten minutes. Rinse off with cool water.
