Homemade Yogurt Face Masks

Going to the spa is nice, but sometimes your budget won't allow it. If you're longing for a facial, make a quick trip to the grocery store and grab some plain yogurt. I'll show you how you can make face masks using simple, super affordable ingredients from your pantry and treat yourself to a relaxing facial at home.

Yogurt is good for all skin types, especially dry or sensitive skin. The lactic acid and natural enzymes found in yogurt help tighten and soften your complexion while moisturizing the skin.

 

Moisturizing Yogurt Face Mask for Dry Skin

Mix 4 tablespoons yogurt with 1-2 teaspoons warm honey. Stir until you get a smooth paste. Apply a thick layer on your clean face and neck. Leave the facial mask on for 30 minutes before washing it off with warm water. Apply toner and moisturizer on your face.

 

 

Homemade  Calming Yogurt Facial Mask for Sensitive Skin

Puree ½ cucumber and 1-2 tablespoon yogurt in a blender. Apply paste to your face and neck evenly. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water or soft wash cloth. Apply toner and moisturizer on your face.

 

 

DIY Purifying Yogurt Face Mask for Oily Skin

Add 2 drops lemon juice into 4 tablespoons yogurt. Mix well, and apply the paste on your face and neck. Wash off the yogurt facial mask after 30 minutes, with warm water. Then, apply toner and moisturizer on your face.

 

 

Anti-Blemish Yogurt Facial Mask for Acne Skin

Combine together 2 tablespoons fresh milk, 2 tablespoons honey, fresh juice of 1 lemon, 1 tablespoon fresh yogurt and some lukewarm water. Mix all ingredients well.

Apply a layer of the mixture on your face and neck. Let it dry, and then repeat until the mixture is used up. Leave the face mask on for 10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Apply your favorite toner and moisturizer.

 

I recommend using yogurt face mask 2-3 times a week for best results. Your skin is sure to feel baby soft and silky smooth to the touch after that. You'll also notice your complexion glows beautifully  with a hint of rosy pink.

 

 

Important note: Don't use the homemade yogurt face mask if you're allergic to any of the ingredients used in the preparation.
