I can assure you that your boyfriend finds you very hot au naturel so stop worrying about how you look without wearing makeup. Instead, change your attitude towards beauty and shift your focus on other areas of your body you like.

You don't need to wear loads of make-up to look and feel beautiful. For example, you can show off your luscious locks in loose romantic waves, or make heads turn with your super-toned long legs in a micro mini skirt and sexy high heel sandals, or flaunt your perky butt in a pair of daringly tight skinny jeans.

Allow me to digress a little and tell you some advantages of going without makeup. First of all, it's a great way to give your face a break and let your skin breathe and totally rejuvenate itself. Putting on a lot of makeup can clog your pores and contribute to pimples and blemishes, especially if you don't remove your makeup each night before bed.

Second, you'll appear more youthful than women who use makeup. This is because wearing the wrong foundation shade or color that clash with your skin tone can add years to your face.

Third, you save oodles of time and a considerable amount of money staying away from the makeup aisle.

Going without makeup in front of your boyfriend for the first time can be scary, but there are a few simple things you can do to slowly wean off of makeup and make yourself look eye-catchingly gorgeous.

 

How Do You Look Gorgeous Without Wearing Makeup?

1. Maintain Good Skin

The first step to looking great bare faced is to make sure your skin is at its absolute best condition – dewy, luminous and blemish free. That means eating a healthy diet consisting of nutritious skin foods such as salmon, avocado, almonds, and eggs along with heaps of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Drinking enough fluids – 8 to 10 glasses of water – every day is also important. Water helps rid your body of built-up toxins that can lead to skin troubles like boils, zits and acne. In addition, water plumps up skin cells, making your skin younger and keeping it as wrinkle free as possible.

Insufficient sleep causes a range of beauty problems such as dark eye rings and puffy eyes. Therefore, make sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.

It’s a well known fact that smoking and excessive alcohol intake are bad for skin health so don't light up and go easy on the booze, if you want flawless skin.

Doing all of these things will reward you with radiantly-clear skin and hence, you'll feel more confident about your natural beauty and won't hesitate to go "bare".

 

2. Prepare Your Face

To prepare your face for the day, wash your face with a gentle cleanser and apply a mild toner to tighten pores. Don't use products that are too deep-cleaning or abrasive as they may irritate your skin, causing redness and peeling. I suggest Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner, or  use a natural toner like witch hazel or rose water.

If you’ve large pores, you can shrink them by gently rubbing ice cubes over the affected areas for 5 minutes or so. Not only will the cold from the ice cube tighten pore openings, it'll also help reduce facial oil while refreshing your skin instantly.

Finally, apply a moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher to smooth your complexion and protect it against sun damage. If you’re going to be in direct sunlight – at the pool or beach – make sure to re-apply sunscreen often.  

 

3. Groom Your Eyebrows

You don't need lashings of black mascara or ultra shimmer eyeshadow to make your eyes look bigger and pop. Beautifully shaped brows frame your face, draw attention to your eyes and make you look feminine. If you're not uncomfortable about plucking your own eyebrows, visit a salon and have them shaped professionally the first time.

 

4. Accentuate Your Best Features

Going au naturel doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t cheat to enhance your natural beauty. An eyelash curler is a great way to brighten up your eyes and make your thin and sparse lashes look darker, fuller, and longer. Shu Uemura or MAC eyelash curlers are best for Asians.

A simple trick to add a natural rosy glow to pale complexion without using blush is to rub the cut side of a strawberry to your cheeks and let dry. Alternatively, lightly pinch your cheeks until they’ve a nice color. Any type of physical activity or exercise – brisk walk, swim, or playing beach volleyball – will also make your cheeks naturally red and glowing.

If you want smoother kissable lips, don't forget to exfoliate and apply some natural lip balm.
