French Manicure makes your nails look classy. With its natural and elegant look, French Manicure will never go out of style. It is ideal for short nails and nails of moderate length. French Manicure can easily be done at home, using the right techniques and tools.
French Manicure at Home
You will need a base/top coat, tip guide strips,white polish and neutral polish.
Very pale, translucent shades with a pink, beige or peach cast looks good on French Manicure.
Most drugstores and beauty shops sell nail polishing kits especially made for the French manicure. Consider them as they are really convenient and useful.
1. Before you start giving your nails a French manicure, be sure you have removed
old nail polish with a acetone-
2. Once you have done that, apply a thin and even base coat to your nails, and let it dry.
3. Now, put a tip guide to your nail. It should cover the lower part of your nail, following its natural curve. Keep the area that you will paint white thin.

Paint the entire length of your nails with 2 coats of beige polish and finish with a top coat for extra shine and protection.
5. To extend the life of your French manicure, it is a good idea to apply an extra layer of top coat on your nails each night, but be sure to allow your nails to dry completely.
It takes a few practices to perfect the art of French manicure. If you are afraid to DIY, visit a nail salon and have your nails done there. It often costs extra than a regular polish.
