Studies have shown that adequate water intake not only promote bowel regularity while preventing and relieving episodes of constipation, it will also actually remove salt and fluid retention.
Interestingly, some people believed that drinking water that is lower than body temperature – cold water rather than warm or hot water – may help speed up metabolism and therefore, resulting in faster weight loss. According to some health experts, water that is cooled to about 70° F increases the rate of calorie burning. This is because your body has to use considerably more calories to warm up cold water to body temperature. However, avoid consuming icy cold water with your meals as it can interfere with proper digestion. Instead, drink water before and after you eat.

If you like, add a thin slice of fresh ginger root and a bit of honey to taste. Ginger is said to increase metabolism rate and improve digestion.
Drink a small glass of water a few hours before bedtime. However, the downsides are it may interrupt your sleep for trips to the bathroom, and may cause you to wake up with a temporarily puffy or swollen face in the morning.
