Why do I make lip gloss at home when it's cheap and easy to buy? Two good reasons to make your own lip gloss. First, homemade lip gloss contains zero preservatives, artificial colors, or artificial sweeteners so it's gentle even on the most sensitive skin. Second, you can create different shades and taste by experimenting with various essential oils to suit your mood.
Some people think making lip gloss at home is hard but it's actually very simple if you follow the recipe accordingly.
The ingredients needed to make homemade lip gloss can be found at either a grocery store or large craft store. If you can't find them locally, you can purchase online.

To protect your skin, you should use either use beeswax or petroleum jelly as the base of lip gloss as it shields your lips from harmful UV rays that can cause cracked lips and make your lips ultra dry.
