My kids love potato wedges for snacks. They can't seem to get enough of potatoes, and ask for them all the time! Potato wedges are very versatile, and can be made with almost any potato.
I use red potatoes for this recipe because they hold firmer than baking or Russet
potatoes. Cooking potato wedges in a slow cooker is extremely easy, even the most
inexperienced cook can make. You really gotta try it out, the cheese-
Ingredients:
2 pounds red potatoes
¼ cup finely chopped yellow onion
1½ teaspoons dried oregano
½ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons butter, cut into ⅛ inch pieces
¼ cup (1 ounce) grated Parmesan cheese
1. Wash and scrub potatoes; cut into ½ inch wedges.
2. Layer potatoes, onion, oregano, salt, pepper and butter into your crock pot or slow cooker.
3. Cover with a lid and allow it to cook on high for 4 hours.
4. When potato wedges are ready, remove from slow cooker and transfer to a serving platter. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Enjoy as snacks or serve as a side dish.
