Easy Copycat Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits Recipe

For those who had the opportunity of dinning at the Red Lobster restaurant, I'm sure you'd agree with me that Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits are one of the best choices offered on their menu.

Each time I'm there, I'd just stuff myself silly with those amazingly light, gorgeous and insanely delicious biscuits, and still can't seem to get enough of.

So, I asked around for the best copycat recipes. While it's quite difficult to duplicate the authentic recipe, I must say that this recipe here comes pretty close to the real McCoy.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits Recipe

(makes 12)

Ingredients:

2 ½ cups Bisquick baking mix

¾ cup cold whole milk

4 tablespoons cold butter plus 2 tablespoons butter, melted

¼ teaspoon garlic powder plus ½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

¼ teaspoon dried parsley flakes

How to make cheddar bay biscuits

Preheat your oven to 400˚F.

In a medium bowl, combine Bisquick with 4 tablespoons cold butter using a large fork. You don't have to mix it too thoroughly (it doesn't matter if you see small pea-sized chunks of butter). Next, add cheddar cheese, milk, and ¼ teaspoon garlic powder. Using clean hands, mix until combined but don't over mix.

Drop about ¼-cup portions of the dough onto an ungreased baking sheet. Use an ice cream scoop to help you.

Pop it in the oven and bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits start to turn light brown.

When biscuits are out of the oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter is a small bowl in your microwave. Stir in remaining garlic powder and dried parsley flakes.

Use a pastry brush to spread garlic butter over the tops. Enjoy!
